The months of January, February and March 2025 were spent exploring Malta and Sicily.

I sketched everyday, completing finished pastels over the spring and summer in my studios in Newfoundland and Georgian Bay.

This work will be exhibited at the Roberts Gallery Toronto from November 13 to 29, 2025

This image is in my Parry Sound studio, I am always working on a new series of pastels, on the left you can see a table full of hand made pastels. On the wall you can see my sketchbook and reference photographs.

On-site sketches were made in many small harbours and coastlines around Trinity Bay on the Bonavista peninsula.

A Canadian Artist

I am a painter and a printmaker, working primarily with pastel on paper and oil on linen. 

I established the Church Street Press in 1998 where I  hand print limited edition books, with my own illustrations in wood engraving or stone lithography.

Much of my work has been influenced by summers spent on Georgian Bay, my home in Newfoundland and my travels.
